I’m an old friend of Alan’s, we were in the same Illustration class at RISD…he was by far the best in the class. As far as I know, he’s still a traditional painter. He teaches part-time at Parson’s these days.

To be completely honest, it feels almost weird listening to Alan talk as himself. We’ve heard him speak as Severus Snape since 2001, we’ve grown accustomed to this. And in the end, we’ll grow accustomed to hearing him speak out of character, and the lines between them will blur.
Alan Rickman is Severus Snape and Severus is Alan. There will be no distinction between the two in the end.
